Intraweb Spellbook

A number of years back, a company called Falafel Software created a wonderful product called "IW Courseware". It was written for Intraweb v5 and was not updated since then.
I learned a lot from IWCourseware, and I keep wishing I could refer people to it today when they have questions.

So, I purchased the rights to it! Yup - contacted Falafel and arranged to purchase the rights to modify and re-publish it. It's mine now.

In keeping with the theme (you may have noticed) of my existing traffic safety product line, I've renamed the manual "The Intraweb Spellbook". Unfortunately, the document only existed in password protected, encrypted PDF format. With some help, I've extracted the text from the document and have begun re-formatting it in Help and Manual. Quite a project actually - more than I'd planned on.

It is my plan to publish The Intraweb Spellbook here on this site for free. Well, more like shareware. I'll figure out the details later. Right now, I've got a lot of work to do to reformat and rearrange the content - a lot of it is incorrect or no longer relavent.

As soon as the content is arranged in a useful manner, I'll start adding my own content based on the areas I know the best:
  • AJAX/ASYNC
  • SOAP Server
  • ReEntry
  • Deploying in IIS / as a Windows service
  • Etc.
After that, I'll start looking for other content that belongs in it. (from newsgroups, personal correspondance, suggestions, etc.)

Since I've seen some interest in the release of this sort of content sooner rather than later, I'm going to start copying the work in progress up here as I develop it. No offense intended, but please keep your comments to yourself about this document until I've changed this text to reflect that it is no longer a work in progress. Thanks :-)
